Antagonia collection top ten

25 March 2015

Here you can see Antagonia’s top ten, a collection that remind us a sensual and feminine summer, but also comfortable and useful. Our sandals are designed in Barcelona and handcrafted in a small factory in Elda (Alicante). Before a pair of Kupuri shoes gets to your feet, it has gone through the best hands. This is our commitment.

Cat eyes

11 March 2015

On W magazine we have seen a beautiful Cecilia Carlsted’s illustration featuring the six best eyes make-up for this season. Among Rochas, Céline, Louis Vuitton, Peter Som, Prada and Givenchy… which is your favorite one? We felt in love with Givenchy’s proposal, so daring, so golden and so seventies. No doubt, it will match perfectly with our Guppy wedge sandals. Take a look!

Antagonia (SS 2015)

23 February 2015

Welcome to Antagonia. A warm and remote place where the ocean waves smoothly caress the shore. When they draw back, the sun illumines the wet sand and thousands of particles scintillate for a few seconds. Nothing or nobody hinders the dance of the silvered waves in the deserted beach. All of a sudden the colour of the sky turns indigo and lemon while the clouds get the colour of plums… and the dark night hovers over Antagonia once more.

The combination of contrasts is the underlying thread of “Antagonia” – Kupuri’s spring/summer collection 2015, which remains true to its sober and timeless style. Tough leathers like calfskin are combined with softer leathers like ‘savage’. Both are fully opaque, unlike the micro-perforated leather and the elastic mesh which give to the shoes a semi-transparent appearance. Once again, matt colours mingle with brighter colours in a black and sandy tones palette, dotted with hints of indigo, plum, lemon and water-green.

From this combination of so feminine and sensual textures arises a variety of boots and sandals of different heights depending on the sole which is made of blocks of layers of wooden heels, leather and sparkling rubber. These are the innovations that define ‘Antagonia’ collection. And remember the legend, the woman who reaches this warm and remote place where the ocean waves smoothly caress the shore, never comes back with bare feet. Bon Voyage!

Catwalk memories

09 February 2015

Coinciding with the Fashion Weeks, we got nostalgic and decided to recoup Kupuri’s parade down the catwalk. Thanks to the co-operation with designers such as Jessica Raya and Paula Boadas from SSIC AND PAUL, Adriana Amargós and Ulises Mérida, we were present at EGO’s Catwalk, in ModaFAD and in the Seagram’s Gin MFshow, respectively. How do you like the pictures? From those days we still remember how nicely our flat net sandals fitted to Alba Galocha dressed in dark blue.

Let’s bazaar!

04 February 2015

We love bazaars, be it proposals from shops, magazines, bloggers or directly from loyal customers. We have compiled some images in which Kupuri’s shoes and ankle-boots round up very interesting looks. To go for work, to go out on a Saturday night, for a summer afternoon … In whichever way, we love to see that our Kupuris enjoy such good company once out of their packing. In addition to it, the bazaars have an added value: they are a good source of inspiration to try new looks.

‘Outdoing the ordinary’

30 January 2015

Cooking, reading the newspaper, taking the garbage out… Daily chores can be done in haste or calmly; in a good mood or reluctantly and, what is most important: stylishly or sloppy. In the fashion editorial Outdoing the Ordinary, published on the web Moda & Estilo, stylist Steve Dolan decided to explore the extravagance, glamour and sexuality of everyday acts. Here are the pictures of a risky, entertaining and astonishing session taken by Olivia Lazer that featured an exceptional model, the Spanish-Ecuadorian artist Cayetana San Segundo. And it is an honour that Kupuri’s golden sandals rub shoulders with such beautiful shoe brands as All Back, John Fluevog and Melissa.
